The "Qi"(气) Category in the Literary Review of Tang Dynasty

The Qi category in Tang Dynasty was unfolded from two dimensions: the poetic and essayistic theories.Its content was displayed in three aspects: the standard of Qi as the essence of poetic prose;the aesthetic character of Qi in poetic prose;the study of Qi in writing.These dimensions and aspects generally show the Qi category in classical writing,which laid a solid foundation for its enriching,deepening and perfecting in later periods.
