Abstract
Xin Qiji is famous for his bold and unconstrained ci-poems.Since a writer's style is closely related to his creative passion,from which ideals are produced if judged from human psychology,this paper probes into the psychological driving force of Xin's ci writing from his passions as a hero,a lover,an epigrammatist,and a sentimentalist.Employing the approach of literary psychology,it examines the influence of writing passions upon the diversification of his writing styles.As the author holds,his passion as a hero results in his boldness in ci writing,as a lover,his sincerity and austerity,as an epigrammatist,his sharpness and sarcasm,and as a sentimentalist,his sadness and solemnity.
