Evolution and Reform of Social Service Function of Chinese Local Colleges

With the deepened reforms of higher education system,the local colleges and universities have already become the important components of higher education.Construction and development of the local colleges and universities has gradually become an important and realistic way which can achieve socio-economic development.Social service function of the local colleges and universities in China goes through the feudal period,the period of democratic revolution,the period of planned economy and the period of market economy.During four historical stages of development,it has made some achievements,but there are still some problems.To further enhance the social service ability for the development of local community,the local colleges and universities should be optimizing professional settings,creating a highly qualified personnel and improving the mechanisms of social service.
