Glargine insulin combined with acarbose in treating type 2 diabetes gaining poor effect by pre-mixed insulin

Objective:To investigate the safety and effectiveness of turning the poor effect of pre-mixed insulin to glargine insulin combined with acarbose in treating type 2 diabetes.Methods:50 patients were injected with pre-mixed insulin twice a day(combined or not combined with oral hypoglycemic drug),and the poor blood sugar control type 2 diabetic patients were injected with glargine insulin combined with acarbose once a day.From the beginning till the 12th week,FBG,PBG 2 hours after meal,HbAlc and BM1 of the patients were recorded.Results:FBG 12 weeks after treatment,and PBG 2 hours after meal,HbAlc of the patients decreased remarkably compared with their respective baseline levels(P0.05).Conclusion:Glargine insulin combined with acarbose can effectively and safely control the blood sugar level of the patients.
