Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the infection of mycoplasma pneumonia in children and sex,age and season.Methods Retrospectively analyse the relationship between the detection results of IgM antibody of mycoplasma pneumonia (method of passive agglutination) and sex,age and season,which came from 1342 cases from Jan. 2006 to Oct. 2008 in our hospital.Results 471 out of 1342 cases of IgM antibody of mycoplasma pneumonia is positive,with the rate being 35.1%.Positive rate of 1 to 5 years-old children is the highest.Difference has no statistical significance between male and female.Invasion can take place in four seasons.Incidence rate in spring and summer is more higher than that in other seasons.Conclusion Infection of mycoplasma pneumonia is one of the primary causes.Detection of MP-IgM with serum passive agglutination is of great advantages such as high sensitivity and early diagnosis.There is of a significant value in clinical application.
