Abstract
An analytical method based on GC-MS has been developed for the determination of benzophenone and 4-methyl benzophenone in sunflower oil simulants of food packaging. The samples were extracted with acetonitrile using vortex and centrifuge. The extract was analyzed by GC-MS in selected ion monitoring(SIM) mode. The target analytes were quantified by external standard method. The limits of detection(S/N=3)for benzophenone and 4-methyl benzophenone were 0.02 mg/kg and 0.03 mg/kg.The mean recoveries of the two compounds at the spiked levels of 0.2~10 mg/kg were 78.8%~95.9%,with the relative standard deviations of 0.88%~7.9%.
