Abstract
Objective To Compare the clinical effect and safety between insulin aspart and novolin R in patients with type 2 diabetes.MethodsSixty patients with type 2 diabetes who were poorly controlled on diet only or plus medicine treatment, were randomized into 2 groups and treated for 12 weeks with either insulin aspart plus novolin N or insulin R plus novolin N.Results①The efficacy rate in the reduction of the mean 2h postprandial blood glucose in the group treated with insulin aspart was higher than that in novolin R(P);②Both insulin aspart and novolin R led to a reduction of HbA1C and the mean fasting blood glucose, but the reduced levels of HbA1C and the mean fasting glucose were not significantly different(P0.05);③Aspart and novolin R didn't affect BMI and plasma lipid;④Aspart did not increase the risk of hypoglycemia compared to novolin R(P0.05).ConclusionInsulin aspart is more effective compared to novolin R in the maintenance of blood glucose for patients with type 2 diabetes.
