Abstract
Objective To explore the antidepressant escitalopram on therapeutic effect and safety of post-schizophrenia depression. Methods Patients with a diagnosis of depression were randomly divided into groups of 85 met the diagnostic criteria of schizophrenia. The study group(42 cases) treated with risperidone combined with escitalopram(10 mg/d) treatment;the control group(43 cases) treated with Risperidone;using Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) 17,PANSS scale and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS) assessment of symptoms and no adverse reaction of two groups of patients. Results The results of two groups of HAMD and PANSS scores after treatment were significantly decreased(P0.05);the study group with 2 and 4 weeks were significantly better than the control group(P0.05);no significant adverse reactions of the two groups of the difference(P0.05). Conclusions Escitalopram can rapidly improve post-schizophrenic depression and has no obvious adverse reaction.
