Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of the electronic fetal monitoring in abnormal fetal umbilical cord. Methods The samples were collected from 150 abnormal fetal umbilical cord, and 500 normal fetal umbilical cord as control.The method of delivering, the rate of fetal distress and the rate of neonatal asphyxia were analysed retrospectively. Results ①The rate of cord entanglement in abnormal fetal umbilical cordwas the highest.②The incidence of abnormal NST and CST (or OCT)was obviously higher in the study groupthan in the control group.③There was a significant difference in the rates offetal distress and assisted vaginal delivery between the 2 groups. The rates ofneonatal asphyxia and cesarean were similar in both groups. Conclusion This study suggests that the electronic fetal monitoring in delivery can be used asa forecast abnormal fetal umbilical cord and a guide of delivery.
