Expression and significance of heat shock protein 70 ,p53 protein and proliferating cell nuclear antigen in laryngeal cancer

Objective To determine the expression and significance of heat shock protein 70(Hsp70),p53 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in laryngeal cancer.Methods The immunohistochemical staining SABC method was used.Results A higher level of the expression of Hsp70 was discovered in the more poorly differentiated cancer tissues than in the more well differentiated ones( P 0.01) .A close relation was observed in cancerous tissues between Hsp70 and p53( P 0.01), Hsp70 and PCNA labeling index ( P 0.001 ).The expression of Hsp70 had significant difference between with and without lymph node metastasis( P 0.05).Conclusion Hsp70 and p53 might have combined effect in the course of laryngeal cancer. Hsp70 plays an important role in the development of laryngeal cancer.
