Study on concentration of fructose and znic in semen of male infertility

Abstract

Objective:To explore the relationship between seminal plasma fructose concentration,seminal plasma Znic concentration and spermdensity,motility,and morphology in male patients with infertility.Methods:Sperm density and motility in semen sampleswhich were obtained from 89 male patients with infertility(infertility group)and 33 male controls(fertile group)were analyzedby computer assisted sperm analysis(CASA),the sperm morphology was analyzed by semiautomatic sperm morphology analyzer.The seminal concentration of plasma fructose and Znic was measured by spectrophotometer.Results:Seminal plasma fructose and Znic concentration in infertile group was significantly lower than that in fertile group(P0.05).Sperm density in abnormal fructose group is significantly higher than that in normal fructose group (P0.05). Sperm motility in abnormal Znix group is significantly lower than that in normal Znic group (P0.05).Conclusion:Seminal plasma fructose concentration is apparently related to sperm density in patients with infertility,and seminal plasma Znic concentration is apparently related to sperm motility in patients with infertility,but neither of them is related to sperm morphology.
