Investigation on the AIDS knowledge awareness rate among the floating population in Cangzhou

Objective To understand the AIDS awareness status among the young floating population in Cangzhou and explore health education mode which suit for this youth population.Method Carried out investigation to 225 students of Vocational Education Center and 201 migrant workers of Labor Exports and Training Center by combination questionnaire and interview methods.Results By the investigation,the AIDS related knowledge awareness rate of students was higher than migrant workers,but knowledge obtain ways were same.The knowledge about AIDS main transmission route of students were obviously higher than workers,and had a statistical significance.However,both of the two groups had low awareness rate on vertical transmission and AIDS cannot transmission by mosquito biting,the groups had high awareness rate on shook hands and embraced cannot spread AIDS,there were no significant difference.Meanwhile,the two groups were lack of understand the policy of AIDS prevention and control knowledge and voluntary counseling and testing.Conclusions By the survey we know that,floating population were lack of AIDS knowledge and carried out various forms of health education was very necessary.
