Research of Sustainable Utilization about Woody Resources in the Southwest of Hubei Province

Woody resources in southwest of Hubei Province are classified as 123 families 418 genera 2027 species.On the basis of analysing the character of these woody plants,they are divided into 13 species,including fiber,starch,perfume,tanning material,gum,rubber, medical use,native agricultural media,fruit tree,viewing and admiring,timber,nectar source etc.It can be concluded that medical plants , ornamental plants and timber plants are advantageous resources in southwest of Hubei Province.Some suggestions for sustainable utilization of woody resources in this region are put forward.And it will benefit the sustainable development of the central-western areas.
