Clinical analysis of complications in 120 cases treated with in plug-mesh tension-free repair of indirect inguinal hernia

Objective To investigate the prevention and treatment of complications in the plug-mesh tension-free repair of indirect inguinal hernia.Methods Clinical materials of 120 cases with indirect inguinal hernia who were treated with the plug-mesh tension-free repair were analyzed retrospectively.Results The postoperative complications included bleeding in the incision leading to scrotal hematoma(1 case) and infection(1 case).Incision areas of all cases were examined by ultrasonography on the 3rd or 4th day after operation,and 15 cases were found subcutaneous hydrops in incisions,but only 2 cases needed treatment.3 patients felt pain and had foreign body sensation but could endure,and no special process had been treated.No recurrence occurred.Conclusion The strict operation technique and correct therapeutic method are the key points to prevent the complication of tension-free hernia repair.And then,the early discovery and the early treatment of the complications of tension-free hernia repair are also important.
