Abstract
With an aim at solving the problem of being difficult to control over construction accuracy of U-shape canal transition and further affecting the water measurement of measuring flume,the design method of measuring flume of U-shape canal straight wall type is duduced so as to provide the basis for the accurate computation of transition curve surface. The results of computation examples indicate that this method can guarantee the accuracy in designing,constructing prototypes and making flume as well as provide references for the technical personnel concerned.
