Abstract

Objective To investigate the application of left ventricular diastolic function of essential hypertensionby patients by doppler tissue imaging and PW technology. Methods Mitral annular velocity in eary diastole(E),late diastole(A),and mitral inflow velocity (Ve、Va) in normal and hypertensive patients by doppler tissue imaging(DTI)were detected and compared. Results Compared with the controls, mitral annulus in patients with hypertension had lower peak velocity of the early diastolic wave(Ve)(P0.05),no change in peak velocity of the late diastolic wave(Va)and Ve/Va ratio decreased(P0.05).There was no difference in systolic mitral annulus velocity between two groups. There was a close relation between transmitral index E/A ratio, the r value of contral group and hypertension group were 0.81 and 0.74.Conclusion Hypertensive patients had left ventricular diastolic dysfunction before left vent ricular hypert rophy.DTI technology combined with PW technology could provide moreobjective assessment of left vent ricular diastolic function.
