Abstract

25 strains H9N2 AIV were assayed through haemoglutination inhibition test(HI)by making use of 4 McAb(monoclonal antibody,McAb)to HA protein of H9N2-AIV and positive standard serum(anti-H9N2-AIV)respectively.The results showed that 23 of 25 strains H9N2 AIV reacted to the 4 McAb.The highest HI titer were 1∶212 for A McAb,1∶212 for B McAb,1∶212 for C McAb and 1∶212 for D McAb,respectively. The lowest titer were 1∶23 for A McAb,1∶29 for B McAb,1∶24 for C McAb and 1∶26 for D McAb respectively.However,2 of 25 strains H9N2 AIV had no HI reaction to all the 4 McAb,and their HI titers were 0.At the same time, the standard serum to H9N2 AIV could react to all the 25 strains H9N2 AIV.This indicated that 2 strains 17 and 18 H9N2 AIV strains had antigen variation in their HA.
