Effect on the Immunity in Breast Cancer Patients Treated with Medicine Isolated Moxibustion on the Umbilicus

Objective To study the impacts on immune function in breast cancer patients after postoperative chemotherapy in the treatment of medicine-isolated moxibustion on the umbilicus and explore its clinical value on the immunity improvement in breast cancer patients after operation.Methods Sixty breast cancer patients after operation were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each one.CAF chemotherapy was applied for the patients in the two groups.In the treatment,at the same time of chemotherapy,the medicine-isolated moxibustion on the umbilicus was supplemented.One treatment cycle was 21 days.The duration of treatment was 6 cycles.The indexes of immunity were observed in the patients of two groups.Results The differences in the index evaluation were not significant before and after treatment in the two groups(P 0.05).The total effective rate was 80% in the treatment group and was 43% in the control group.The result in the treatment was apparently better than that in the control group.In the treatment group,the values of T cell subgroups(CD4,CD8,CD4 / CD8) and immunoglobulin(IgA,IgM,IgG) after treatment were higher apparently than those in the control group,presenting the statistically significant difference in comparison of the two groups(P 0.01).Conclusion The medicine-isolated moxibustion improves effectively the immune function in breast cancer patients after postoperative chemotherapy.
