Study on the Process Optimization for Extraction of Flavone from Celery Leaves

Abstract

The celexy which is of low price and high yield is used as raw material and organic solvent refluxing extraction technique of flavonoids from celexy leaves are discussed.The effect of extraction solvent,extraction concentration,solid to liquid ratio,extraction temperature,extraction time on extracting the flavonoid was investigated.Moreover on bases of this,with orthogonal experiments,the optimal condition are obtained.The experimental results showed that dry celery leaves as raw material,the extraction flavonoids' best technological conditions are as follows: extraction agent is ethanol,extractant concentration is 80%,the solid to liquid ratio is 1∶ 30,extraction temperature is 85 ℃ and extraction time is 60 min.In these conditions,the yield of flavonoids may reach around 2.43%.Through orthogonal test,the concentration of alcohol have greatly efforts on the extraction rate.
