Abstract

Objective:To study the value on combined detection of urinary microalbumin(mAlb) and β2-microglobulin(β2-MG) in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.Methods:152 patients with diabetes and 92 healthy controls were tested urinary mAlb and β2-MG levels using nephelometry, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results:The levels of urinary mAlb and β2-MG there were no significant difference in the patients whose course of diabetes shorter than 5 years with the healthy group. But it showed significant in the patients whose course of disease 5 to 10 years comparing with the control group. In the group of course 10 years, urinary mAlb and β2-MG were higher than the controls. So the level of mAlb and β2-MG would in crease following age increasing. Conclusion:The combined detection of urinary mAlb and β2-MG had important clinical value in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.
