Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of imaging diagnosis of the limb injury in earthquake. Methods 103 cases of the limb injury in earthquake were performed X-ray plain film examination, including CT in 28 cases and MRI in 5 cases. Results Imaging examination established definitive diagnosis in 81 cases of limb bone fracture. The single-level fracture was found in 34 cases,multiple-level fractures in 47 cases, compound fracture in 6 cases, closed fracture in 75 cases. Moreover, dislocation of joint was found in 7 cases, foreign body of soft tissue in 5 cases, meniscus of knee joint in 1 case, gas gangrene in 1 case. Conclusions Imaging examination is the most valuable examination method in diagnosis of the limb injury in earthquake, and it can not only make definitive diagnosis, but also play an important role in selection of therapeutic planning.
