Abstract
Objective To analysis the relationship between chronic gastritis pathologic change and Helicobacter pylori (Hp). Methods W-S was applied to detect HP in 976 patients with various degrees (assigned to lowgrade group, moderate group and severe group) chronic gastritis diagnosed by gastroscope biopsy. Positive rate of HP was compared among different groups of chronic gastritis. Results The positive rate of HP in chronic gastritis was 59.09%, the percentages was gradually increased with pathologic change deteriorated. There was a significant difference between different groups (P0.01). The positive rate of HP in atrophic gastritis was lower than active gastritis (P0.01), and the percentages were gradually decreased with atrophy deteriorated. Conclusions Infection of HP plays an important role in the cause of chronic gastritis, and the positive rate of HP is related to the degree of gastritis. HP of atrophic gastritis isn't very active. Radiation therapy of HP in active gastritis is more important than in atrophic gastritis.
