Influence of High-level Metonymy on Grammatical Construction in the Perspective of Cognition Pattern

Metonymy is a cognition process which is transmitted from one concept to another in a same cognition pattern. High-level metonymy compacts linguistic constructions by ranking cognition patterns.High-level situational metonymy generates indirect speech acts and high-level propositional metonymy affects grammatical construction,and grammatical metonymy results from that view.The thesis analyzes the impact the high-level metonymy on the grammatical construction through following several aspects,concluding predicate verbs,expending and condensing of verbs,indirect speech acts and metonymy of WHAT structure.
