Abstract
[Objective]To examine the prevalence of HIV and Syphilis, and assess the associated factors of HIV infection and syphilis infection, and provide the suggestion for implementing the effective measure of AIDS prevention and control among men who have sex with men(MSM).[Methods]MSM recruited by snowball were investigated by the investigators trained with face-to-face.Blood samples were taken to examine antibody of HIV,syphilis and HCV.Data were entered double and analyzed by software SPSS13.0.[Results]Of the 1 166 participants, indictor of HIV/AIDS knowledge was 91.3%.The rate of condom use during anal sex with men last time and last six months was 64.9% and 37.3% respectively. The prevalence of HIV,syphilis and HCV was 14.8%,8.7% and 2.5% respectively. The result of multi-variable regression analysis indicated that factors independently associated with HIV infection included age(group of 30 years and older:OR=2.1),place where his residence was registered(group of suburban county:OR=2.1,group of other provinces:OR=2.0)and syphilis infection(OR=5.4).And the factors associated with syphilis infection were male sexual partners(group of over 5:OR=2.0),buying gay sex service(OR=2.9)and HIV infection(OR=5.1).[Conclusion]The results indicate that low rate of condom use during anal sex with men and high prevalence of HIV accelerate HIV transmission among MSM.It is urgent to conduct and extend the effective intervention for stopping HIV spreading among them.
