Observation of effects of losartan on hypertension accompanied by left ventricular hypertrophy

Objective To observe the effects of losartan on hypertension accompanied by left ventricular hypertrophy.Methods 60 patients with left ventricular hypertrophy in hypertension patients were randomly divided into losartan group(30 cases) and the captopril group(30 cases).Before and after 3 months,blood pressure and left ventricular mass index were metected.Results After treatments,the blood pressure and left ventricular mass index in the two groups decreaced obviously(P 0.01),but there was no significant difference between wo groups(P0.05).Conclusion Losartan can effectively reduce hypertension with blood pressure in patients with left ventricular hypertrophy,left ventricular hypertrophy reversal.
