Abstract
Objective To have basic health knowledge of patients with hypertension,health beliefs and behaviors concerning hypertension control,in order to develop efficient and operable behavior intervention measures and to accumulate experience.Methods Three different types of communities were chosen to screen the hypertension,and approximately 150 patients with hypertension in each community were randomly to finish the questionnaire survey. Results The number of questionnaires collected was 460,including 226 male(49.1%) and 234 female(50.9%).People with primary education or below took up 65.2% of the total.The percentage of the interviewees' knowing of basic health knowledge and knowledge about hypertension was 51.2%.The rate of holding modern health beliefs was 72.2%.42.6% of them went to community health service stations to measure blood pressure at least once a month.Only 27.6% of then could control blood pressure efficiently.Only 14.3% of them could efficiently control their blood pressure through medicine and diet.Conclusion Most patients with hypertension lacked relative health knowledge.In particular,they did not pay enough attention to the harm of hypertension,and they lacked the capacity to control high blood efficiently.
