Abstract
Using soybean molasses as substrate, the Candida tropicalis CGMCC2.587 was selected from 8 single-cell-protein producing yeasts by preliminary screening of plate cultivation and re-screening of shake flask fermentation, due to its biomass and total protein content were highest as 8.4125 g/L and 4.4696 g/L respectively when grown on 10%soybean molasses.By single factor experiments, the optimum growth medium was 5% wort medium and the optimum culture conditions were initial pH value 5.0,medium volume 50ml/250ml,shaking speed 160 r/min and fermentation temperature 30℃.
