Construction of East Asia Community and the Role of China

Leaders of all countries now come to the consensus that the construction of East Asia Community requires some economic basis and political and security cooperation as its foundation.As a long-term target of East Asia cooperation,this has become a common understanding from individual ideas.However,in East Asia,regional consciousness is weak,mutual political trust is not enough and economy relies on the outside,so the East Asian countries must exceed old ideology and seek to construct common regional consciousness and value recognition.At the same time,they should strengthen organizational construction,avoidgeneralization of the members and advance the course of community with ASEAN+3 as the main channel.As an important member of East Asia,China should be an active promoter,coordinator and constructor.It should treat Sino-Japanese relations rationally,reflect upon its own development and steadily and effectively accelerate the construction of East Asia Community.
