Abstract

Objective To analyze the MRI and mammographic findings oi breast diseases and to assess the diagnostic value of MRI and mammography for breast diseases. Methods Sixty cases of breast diseases underwent MR T1WI,STIR (short TI inversion recovery) ,and dynamic enhancement scans,as well as mammography by conventional method. Results The correct diagnostic rate of MRI was 88. 3% (53/60). The correct diagnostic rate of mammography was 63. 3% (38/60). The correct diagnostic rate of the both methods had statistical difference (X2 = 10. 23 ,P 0. 01). The lesion detection ability of MRI was superior to that of mammography. Conclusion MRI is superior to mammography in demonstrating the content and degree of breast diseases. MRI plays an important role in the diagnosis and therapeutic planning for breast diseases.
