The techniques applied for Jiyang fault basin subtle reservoir exploration

Jiyang Depression of Shengli exploration area is a typical continental fault basin of China. In the recent years, the complex subtle reservoir in proportion to the exploration targets in the depression is going up, the exploration situation constantly challenges the exploration techniques. The development, generalization and application of new techniques for the subtle reservoir exploration, and further improving the quality in identifying small sands, fault blocks, buried hills etc are the main task for explorers in the future, even over a long period of time. This paper generalizes the development of this kind of techniques, systematically discussed the key exploration techniques series those were shaping up initially, gave some successful examples in the subtle reservoirs exploration in Jiyang depression.
