Abstract

In recent years, new various reservoir prediction techniques play more important roles in oil and gas exploration and development. The authors applied 3D seismic inversion constrained by well logging in the progressive exploration and development of subtle fluvial reservoir in Hupoying Oil field, Langgu sag. In the second member of Shahejie Formation , many stages of sand-shale sequences in vertical orientation and reservoir of great lateral variation result in complicated regularity to oil pool formation. We quantitatively predicted spatial distribution of the thin oil layer and oil domain using the inversion method and discovered new oil-bearing series and also fixed prospective oil traps, which are not only important decision support for the progressive breakthrough in the district, but also new thought of future exploration and development for subtle reservoir of thin layer in Liuquan structural zone.
