Abstract

Objective To examine therapeutic effect of nasal cavity reconstruction on adolescent cases with nasal mucosa contact headache. Methods Nasal cavity structure reconstruction was performed on 63 adolescent cases with nasal mucosa contact headache due to abnormalities of nasal cavity structure after ineffective drug treatment, who were admitted between Aug.2008 and Aug.2011 in our department.Symptom relief and visual analogue scale(VAS) scores before and after surgery were compared to assess efficacy 6 months later. Results 32 cases were cured, and 25 were improved among the 63 cases, with general effective rate of 90.5%.6 months later, headache symptom was obviously improved, and VAS scores were(7.34±1.78) and(2.20±1.52),respectively,with t value of 2.316 and P0.05.Conclusions Nasal cavity structure reconstruction was effective for adolescent cases with nasal mucosa contact headache due to abnormalities of nasal cavity structure abnormalities.
