The Clinal efficacy of nitrendipine accompanied with benazepril for treatment of aged patients with essential Hypertension

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical trerapeutic effcacy of nitredipine accompaniedwith benazepril for treatment of aged patients with essential hyperension. Methods: sixty aged Patients with essential hypertension were randomized to devided into two groups with 30 cases:treatment group and coutrol group: The treatment group was given nitrendipine 10mg Tid andbenazepril 5mg Bid.The control group was given nitrendipine 10mg Tid. The mean peritods offllow up was 4 week and the efficacy was assessed by blood pressure(BP)and electrocardiogram(ECG) per week after treatment. Results: The BP, HR and ECG were allimproved more significantly in nitredipine accompanied with benazepril group than in nitredipinegroup(P0.05).Conclusion: The combination of nitrendipine and benazepril is reliable to the aged patients with essential hypertension.
