Abstract
The porous ceramics at different sintering temperature was prepared, using SiC powder as the aggregate, eutectic mixture sintering aids and the coal power as the pore-former. The effect of the different sintering temperature on the properties of the porosity, the gas flux, the pore size distribution and cross-bending strength of the porous SiC ceramics was investigated. The structure characteristics and morphology were characterized by SEM. The results showed that the porosity, the gas flux and cross-bending strength decreased, and the pore size distribution had a decrease with the increasing of sintering temperature.
