Abstract
SiC porous ceramics were prepared by self-synthesis mullite as sintering additives at different sintering temperature, and effects of sintering temperature on the mechanical properties, micropore structure were studied. The results show that the phase composition of the binding agent of the sic porous ceramic change with sintering temperature, and mechanical and chemical properties, thermal stability and pore structure of the sic porous ceramic is also changed with sintering temperature. For the sic porous ceramic material prepared by self-synthesis mullite as sintering additives, the suitable sintering temperature should be controlled between 1390 ℃ to 1430 ℃.
