Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods 120 patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.Patients in the control group received mecobalamin intramuscular injection.Patients in the treatment group were treated by Yiqihuoxue Tongluo decoction combined with basis treatment in control group.Clinical effect and changes in nerve conduction velocity were observed in two groups. Results The total effective rate in treatment group(71.7%) was higher than that in control group(46.7%,P0.05).There were significant difference between before and after treatment on motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV,P0.01) in treatment group. In control group before and after treatment there was no significant difference on MNCV and SNCV(P0.05).Conclusion Combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine has definite effect on the treatment of DPN.
