Effect of Yiqihuoxue Chinese Medicine on the Treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neurpathy

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of Yiqihuoxue chinese medicine on diabetic peripheral neurpathy(DPN) based on differentiation of symptoms and signs.Methods 98 cases with DPN were randomly divided into the treatment group(49cases) and the control group(49 cases).Besides the same measures of western medicine treatment applied in two groups,Yiqihuoxue chinese medicine was given to the patients in the treatment group based on differentiation of symptoms and signs.4 weeks is a course of treatment.The changes of symptoms and signs were observed.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P0.01).Conclusion Yiqihuoxue chinese medicine is significantly effective on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
