Abstract
The objective of this study is to establish a HPLC method for the determination of rutin in different parts of Houttuynia cordata Thunb..Eclipse XDB-C18(4.6 mm × 250 mm,5 μm) column was employed with 0.1% phosphoric acid in water and methanol as mobile phases,the column temperature was set at 20 ℃.The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the detection wavelength was set at 358 nm.The linear range of rutin was 0.02 ~ 0.50 mg/mL,the correlation coefficient was 0.9999 and the average recoveries(n=3) was 92.00%.The results showed that the contents of rutin were different from various areas and different organs.The method is simple,rapid and reliable,it can be used to determine the content of rutin in traditional Chinese herbs.
