Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy of lowdose cyclosporin A (CsA) and the factors of pridicted effect in the treatment of aplastic anemia (AA).Methods:Thirtysix cases of AA were treated with lowdose CsA (6 mg/kg/d,10 d;3 mg/kg/d,3 m).Results:A response was achicved in 26 of 36 patients with AA (72%).The effect was rclated with the sex of patients and the results of CsA testing in vitro. The response rate of male cases was higher than that of female cases.Seven cases were positive in the CsA testing in vitro and were all responsed to CsA;Seventeen cases were negative, nine cases of which were responsed to CsA (p=0.03).Conclusions:(1)Lowdose CsA can be used in the treatment of all kinds of AA;(2)The CsA testing in vitro can be used to predict the response of some patients with AA.
