Abstract

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of Olanzapine and Aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia.Methods:60 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into two groups, each group of 30 cases, were given Olanzapine and Aripiprazole, treatment eight weeks, the curative effects and adverse reactions were assessed with PANSS,CGE-SI and TESS.Results:Two groups of PANSS total cent and CGE-SI scores were relatively before treatment significantly(P0.01),Olanzapine group significat efficiency was 77% in Olanzapine group, and significat efficiency was 73% in Aripiprazole group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in the clinical efficacy(P0.05).Lethargy and weight gain in Olanzapine group were significantly higher than those in Aripiprazole group(P0.01),extrapyramidal reactions, insomnia, excited or vehement in Aripiprazole group were significantly higher thean those in Olanzapine group(P0.01).Conclusion:There was no significant difference between Olanzapine and Aripiprazole in the clinical efficacy,Olanzapine security is higher.
