Abstract

Objective To study the clinical significance of platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW)in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of acute leukemia(AL).Methods Type K-4500 full automatic blood cells analysis apparatus was used to test the parameters of blood platelet(PLT,MPV,PDW) in 242 cases of patients with AL and compared with 100 cases of healthy controls. Results The results of PLT in AL were significantly lower than that in control group(P0.01),the results of MCV,PDW in AGL were significantly higher than that in control group(P0.01),while lower in ALL and AML.The result of PLT was significantly higher in complete remission patients of AL after treatment. And the results of MCV,PDW were significantly higher than that in control group. The result of PLT was significantly lower in non-remission patients after treatment, while MPV,PDW have no significant difference. Conclusion It has a certain value to view the change of parameters of PLT in the patients of AL for the prognosis, treatment and preventing hemorrhage during the treatment.
