Abstract

Objectives:To investigate the significance of the serum level of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in patients with coronary artery diseases(CAD). Methods:One hundred and seventeen patients diagnosed with CAD by coronary angiography were divided into three groups:stable angina (41 cases),unstable angina(62 cases) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI,14 cases).Fifteen cases with normal angiography were treated as the control. All the samples were collected to measure the serum levels of hs-CRP.The serum levels of hs-CRP were compared among each group. Results:The serum levels of hs-CRP in patients with CAD were significantly higher than those of the control (0.56mg/L±0.27mg/L),P0.001.The serum level of hs-CRP in unstable angina group (7.38mg/L±5.73mg/L) was significantly higher than those in stable angina group (5.40mg/L±11.7mg/L),P0.001.And the serum level of hs-CRP in AMI group (32.75mg/L±23.16mg/L) was significantly higher than the above two guoups,P0.001. Conclusions:There is a close relationship between serum level of hs-CRP and the severity of coronary disease.
