Abstract
Objective:Further exploration on treating chronic cough with TCM method and its mechanism. Methods:Using Yiqi Huoxue Sufei Decoction(YQHXSFD) which was prepared according to the therapeutic principle of strengthening the body resistance to consolidate the constitution and promoting blood circulation to disslove stasis in treating 40 patients suffering from chronic cough. Results:Clinical investigation shows that YQHXSFD can alleviate symptoms and physical signs of the patients effectively.A total effective rate of 92.5% was shown in YQHXSFD group, which was higher than that of the control group(65.0%),P0.05.Conclusion: YQHXSFD might work by means of enhancing the immune system and improving the pulmonary microcirculation to control the type of lung and spleen deficiency syndrome of chronic cough.
