Abstract
Objective Plasma B-Type natriuretic peptide (BNP) was conducted asses the clinical value in the diagnosis of congestive heart failure and the relationship between BNP and ventriculai dysfunction. Methods We enrolled 127 patients with CHF. Plasma levels of B-Type natriuretic peptides (BNP) were measured and in these patients. Results The mean BNP concentration in blood samples obtained from patients with CHF was high gradually with the degree of NYHA from Ⅰ to Ⅳ. P0.01. The BNP level in patients with low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≤ 0.05 were higher than in that with LVEF0.05, (P0.01). The BNP level in patients with high left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) ≥60mm was higher than in that with low LVEDD60mm, P0.01. Conclusions BNP plasma level is a good marker to left ventricular function.
