Abstract

The seed of rice(Oryza sativa L.) was treated with 25mg·L-1、50mg·L-1、100mg·L-1、200mg.L-1 oligochitosan solution and the effects of oligochitosan on cold resistance of rice seedling were studied. It was found that each treatment increased cold resistance of rice seedling, and 100mg·L-1 oligochitosan treatment was much better.Compared with CK,100mg·L-1 oligochitosan treatment increased the survival percentage of seedling under cold stress by 15.54%;electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde(MDA) contents decreased 12.88% and 6.98%;the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT) and peroxidase(POD) increased 37.94%,22.75% and 21.35%,respectively;the content of soluble sugar, soluble protein and praline increased 15.82%,12.92%,24.47%,respectively;and the content of chlorophyll and rooting ability in-creased 23.53% and 28.90%.
