Abstract
Objective To study the effect of kwoninone on liver fibrosis indices in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases with kwoninone) and control group(30 cases with conventional treatment).Serum levels of precollagen type Ⅲ,Ⅳ-type collagen, hyaluronic acid(HA)and laminin(LN)were measured by RIA before and after treatment. Results After treatment,Serum levels of precollagen type Ⅲ,Ⅳ-type collagen, hyaluronic acid(HA)and laminin(LN)in kwoninone treatment group decreased significantly, while there was no difference among those of control group before and after treatment. Conclusion The levels of cytokines in patients with CHB can be decreased by treatment of kwoninone which has certain anti-fibrotic effect on liver fibrosis.
