Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of Amlodipine Besylate and Irbesartan on blood pressure variability in elder patients with hypertension.Methods:140 patients with 1 level hypertension were divided into two groups of A and B,each group of each 70 patients, and patients in group A orally took 5mg/d Amlodipine Besylate once daily, while group B orally took 150mg/d Irbesartan tablets once daily,24 hours ambulatory blood pressure monitoring were performed before and after 4 weeks treatment, and compared the influence of two drugs on blood pressure and 24 hours blood pressure variability(BPV).Results:① After treatment, each group's blood pressure is lower than before treatment, the difference has statistics significance(P0.05).②Comparing the influence on 24 hours blood pressure variability of two groups, group A is better than group B(P0.05).Conclusion:Both Amlodipine Besylate and Irbesartan can control 1 level hypertension, and Amlodipine Besylate is better than Irbesartan on 24 hours BPV.
