Abstract
Objective To study the curative effects of arthroscopic debridement combined with intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate for osteoarthritis of knee and compare with separately arthroscopic debridement of knee or intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate. Methods Totally 150 patients with osteoarthritis of knee were randomly divided into 3 groups: simply sodium hyaluronate was used in group A once a week, continuous injection of 5 times; simply arthroscopic debridement of the knee was used in group B; group C: sodium hyaluronate was injected once a week after arthroscopic debridement of knee. After six months curative effects of three methods were compared. Results The curative effects of group C was significant better than that of group A and group B (t= 15.12,16.64,P 0.05). There was no significant difference between the group A and group B (t =1.22,P 0.05). Conclusions The effect of combination of both application is better than arthroscopic debridement alone or intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate alone in the treatment of osteoarthritis of knee. So it is the better method for osteoarthritis of knee.
