Efficacy of moxifloxacin injection in treatment of acute bacterial infection of urinary tracts

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of moxifloxacin injection in the treatment of urinary tract bacterial acute infection.Methods A single blind randomized controlled trial was conducted 62 patients with urinary tract infections.The treatment group(n=31) were treated with moxifloxacin and the control group(n=31) were given levofloxacinfor 7~10d.Clinical,bacteriological efficacy and adverse reaction rates were compared.Results The recovery rate and effective rate were 90.3% and 96.8%in treatment group,and 87.1% and 93.5% in control group respectively(P0.05).The bacterial eradication rate in treatment group and in control group were 93.1% and 89.3%,and the adverse drug reaction rate in treatment group and in control group were 9.6% and 12.9% respectively(P0.05).Conclusion Moxifloxacin injection is effective and safe in treatment of acute bacterial infection of urinary tract.
