Analasis about blood transfusion in 5 years in 117 Hospital of PLA

Objective:To investigate the current situation of blood usage by statistical analysis of blood transfusion in recent 5years in our hospital,and discuss how to improve the rationality using of various blood components.Method:We analyzed the volume and the utilization of various blood components(including whole blood,red blood cell,plasma,cryoprecipitate,platelet)during 2007-2011year.Result:The rate of blood component transfusion remained at a high level in recent 5years in our hospital,reaching more than 99%.The usage of suspended red blood cells,plasma and cryoprecipitate all showed increasing trend.The utilization of plasma was higher than that of red blood cell except for 2008years.However the utilization of platelet presented downward trend.Conclusion:Enhancing propagandize of knowledge about clinical blood transfusion and strictly controlling the indications for transfusion might be the key to improve the rationality in transfusion of blood component.
